Adenoid cystic carcinoma is a salivary gland type of cancer that also arises in the breast where it accounts for 0.1 to 3.5% of all tumours. It is a biphasic tumour made up of both epithelial and myoepithelial cells. Most tumours harbor the MYB-NFIB gene fusion.
