Invasive lobular carcinoma is a type of breast cancer. It accounts for 5-15% of all breast cancers worldwide. The cells in this tumour are discohesive and often infiltrate the breast as individual cells or in a single-file pattern. Most tumours express estrogen or progesterone receptor and only a small number overexpress HER2.
